Romor Joinery was established in 1958 and was originally based in the Glengormley area. Initially the business concentrated on the manufacture of specific timber products such as ladders, fencing, garden sheds etc.

In 1977 the business moved to larger premises in Carrickfergus. These premises enabled the business to introduce heavier and more versatile machinery. Changes in machinery enabled the business to produce a greater variety of products and as a result diversified into supplying the building trade with its joinery requirements.

In 2007 Romor Joinery moved again within Carrickfergus to the Trooperslane Industrial Estate. This move has enabled Romor Joinery to produce a wide range of specialist products due to a flowing production line. This move has also resulted in partnership with McNickle & Sons. McNickle and Sons specialize in the design and manufacturing of bespoke church furniture and specialist joinery. The partnership between the two companies has many benefits as it has widened the range of skills, experience and technology within the business.
